Well, 2009 wasn’t so bad.

Happy New Year, everyone!

I like to look back at the stats for my sites on New Years Day, and this morning the numbers for BBTI look quite impressive. Altogether we had 1,394,796 hits to the site in the last year (total since the initial launch is now 1,740,629). Our top 10 referrers:

  1. www.google.com
  2. www.stumbleupon.com
  3. www.thefiringline.com
  4. www.ar15.com
  5. www.thehighroad.org
  6. www.defensivecarry.com
  7. www.thefirearmblog.com
  8. search.yahoo.com
  9. www.survivalblog.com
  10. ballisticsbytheinch.wordpress.com

If you exclude the two search engines, we would add glocktalk.com and elsiepeaforum.com. It is a bit noteworthy that of all of those, I am only active on three – so the referrers are not driven by my promotional efforts.

December had 143,816 total hits, and was the third-largest for the year – October was the fourth, and November the fifth – so you could say that things have actually been picking up in recent months, which is a little bit surprising to me.  I think that the news that we’re going to be continuing our research in 2010 probably helped generate some attention, but who knows.

Anyway, thanks to one and all who helped to spread the word – here’s hoping that your coming year is a good one!
